Job Description

Sugar Creek Charter is currently seeking an Exceptional Children Compliance Coordinator for the 2021-2022 school year.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Ensure EC program compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Complete federal, state, and local submissions of EC grants, headcounts, and indicators for the EC program
Review EC paperwork for compliance
Manage paperwork for EC transfers in and out of SCCS
Ensure that the EC headcount remains current and compliant
Attend IEP meetings
Attend various workshops, seminars, and trainings to continuously develop professional knowledge
Conduct trainings with school staff regarding EC paperwork
Assist in the hiring process for EC staff
Collaborate with the Student Support Team (social workers counselors, behavior specialists, behavior management technicians, dean of students) and community agencies to support and foster policies that enhance student growth and development
Communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students, parents, staff members, and other stakeholders
Maintain all whole school expectations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in special education or school administration
Valid teaching license in special education
Minimum of 5 years experience as a special education teacher and case manager
